Why a face-to-face consultation comes first
Anti-wrinkle treatment is a prescription-only medicine in the UK. That means it can only be prescribed after a face-to-face assessment by a qualified prescriber, never over the phone or from a photo. At Trusted Touch Aesthetics, that assessment is with our Independent Nurse Prescriber.
Be wary of anywhere that offers to treat you on the spot without a proper assessment, or advertises the product by brand name and price. Those are signs a clinic may not be following the rules.
What we talk about
We look at how your face moves, which lines bother you and what you want to keep. Common areas are frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet, but the same treatment can also lift the brows, slim a square jaw, soften neck bands and help with excessive sweating.
We also check your medical history, any medicines you take and whether treatment is right for you. If it isn't, we'll say so.
Results and how long they last
If treatment goes ahead, results show gradually over about two weeks, and typically last three to four months. The aim is a softer, fresher look that still lets you frown, smile and raise your eyebrows naturally. A review appointment lets us fine-tune anything that needs it.
Choosing a clinic
Look for a clinic that is insured, works with a named prescriber, assesses you face to face, explains the risks and gives you written aftercare. You should never feel rushed into a decision.
Questions clients ask
- Does it look frozen?
- Not when it's planned well. The dose and placement are chosen so your face keeps its natural movement.
- Is there downtime?
- Very little. You may have small marks for an hour or so, and you'll be asked to avoid exercise, heat and lying down for a few hours.
- How much does it cost?
- Prices depend on the areas treated and are confirmed at your consultation. Our price list shows the starting prices for each area.
