About Jalupro
Jalupro is an injectable blend of amino acids — the building blocks of collagen — combined with hyaluronic acid. Rather than adding volume, it gives the skin the raw materials to repair itself, improving elasticity, firmness and texture and softening fine lines.
It's often chosen for skin that looks tired or slightly loose, for the neck and décolletage, and for anyone who wants to strengthen the skin ahead of or alongside other treatments.

Key Benefits
- 01Supplies the amino acids the skin needs to build collagen
- 02Improves elasticity, firmness and texture
- 03Softens fine lines and dullness
- 04Hydrates with hyaluronic acid
- 05Suitable for the face, neck, décolletage and hands
- 06A good preparation for other treatments
Is this treatment right for me?
Jalupro suits people with tired, dull or slightly lax skin who'd like a natural improvement in quality, and those who want a lighter, more frequent booster than Profhilo. It's also popular for the neck and décolletage.
You may be suitable if…
- Your skin looks tired or has lost its bounce
- You'd like to improve elasticity and fine lines
- You want to strengthen the skin before other treatments
- You're not pregnant or breastfeeding
Your consultation will consider…
- Skin hydration, texture, fine lines and laxity
- Which product best matches your skin and goals
- The number of sessions and spacing for a proper course
- Your medical history, allergies and any recent treatments
What to expect
Before treatment
Your consultation with John looks at skin quality — hydration, fine lines, laxity and texture — and your goals, and checks your medical history. Skin boosters are a course rather than a one-off, so you'll leave with a plan for the number and spacing of sessions. For a few days before, avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen and supplements such as fish oil where safe to do so, as they increase bruising.
During treatment
After numbing cream, John places a series of small, shallow injections across the treatment area. The appointment takes around 30 minutes and each injection leaves a small bump that settles within hours.
After treatment
Small bumps and mild redness for a few hours are normal. The improvement in skin quality develops over the following weeks.

Results & longevity
Skin usually looks brighter and more hydrated within a week or two, with firmness and elasticity improving over four to eight weeks. A course of three to four sessions, one to two weeks apart, gives the best result, with effects typically lasting around six months before maintenance.
Recovery, side effects & aftercare
Very little downtime — small bumps and possibly a little redness or a bruise at the injection points, settling within hours to a day.
Side effects
Small raised bumps at the injection points are expected and usually flatten within hours; occasionally they take a day or two. Redness, tenderness and small bruises are common and short-lived. Uncommon effects include a lump that persists longer, mild infection, or an allergic-type reaction. Because these products are hyaluronic acid or naturally derived, serious reactions are rare.
Aftercare
Leave the injection points alone for the rest of the day — no make-up, no touching or massaging unless John has asked you to. Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam and alcohol for 24 hours, and stay out of strong sun. Keep the skin well moisturised and use SPF daily; it protects the result.
Please contact the clinic if you notice spreading redness, increasing pain, a lump that grows rather than settles, or any skin colour change.

Frequently Asked Questions
Jalupro or Profhilo?
Profhilo is pure hyaluronic acid; Jalupro adds amino acids to support collagen production and is typically given as a short course of more frequent sessions. John will recommend the right fit for your skin.
How many sessions?
Usually three to four, one to two weeks apart, then maintenance roughly every six months.
Does it add volume?
No. It improves the quality of the skin — for volume or shape, dermal fillers are the right treatment.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is applied first. Each injection is a brief sting, and most people find the treatment very tolerable.
When can I wear make-up?
The next day. Keep the injection points clean and uncovered for the rest of the treatment day.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Yes — skin boosters work well alongside anti-wrinkle treatment, fillers and microneedling. John will suggest sensible spacing.
What happens at the consultation?
John assesses your skin, discusses what you'd like to improve, checks your medical history and recommends the product and course that fits — with clear pricing before anything is booked.
