About AlumierMD Peel
AlumierMD is a clinical skincare brand used by skin professionals. Its professional peels use carefully balanced acids to loosen dull, built-up surface cells and encourage fresher skin to come through, and each peel is chosen for the skin in front of it — whether the aim is brightness, a more even tone, smoother texture, congestion, or the first signs of ageing.
Cinzia assesses your skin first and picks the peel and strength that suit it. A single peel gives a fresh, brighter look; for longer-lasting change AlumierMD recommends a course — often six peels around two weeks apart, or monthly for more sensitive skin — alongside the right homecare.

Key Benefits
- 01Brighter, fresher-looking skin
- 02Smoother texture as dull surface cells are lifted
- 03Helps uneven tone and the look of pigmentation over a course
- 04Helps congested, breakout-prone skin look clearer
- 05Softens the look of fine lines
- 06Chosen for your skin type and concerns, with homecare advice to match
Is this treatment right for me?
Peels suit most skin types once the right peel and strength are chosen. They aren't carried out during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over broken, sunburnt or infected skin, during an active cold sore, or within six months of isotretinoin (Roaccutane), and recent waxing, laser or other peels on the area need a gap first.
You may be suitable if…
- Your skin looks dull, tired or uneven in tone
- You'd like smoother texture or clearer, less congested skin
- You're happy to use SPF daily and follow simple aftercare
- You're not pregnant, breastfeeding or taking isotretinoin
Your consultation will consider…
- Your skin type, sensitivity and any history of pigmentation
- Current skincare, especially retinoids, acids and exfoliants
- Medication, including isotretinoin, and any history of cold sores
- Which peel and strength suit your skin, and whether a course is worthwhile
What to expect
Before treatment
Stop retinol, acids and scrubs for about a week beforehand, and avoid waxing, laser, sunbeds and sunburn on the area. Arrive without make-up if you can.
During treatment
Cinzia cleanses and preps the skin, then applies the chosen AlumierMD peel and times it closely. Most people feel warmth, tingling or a light itch that eases as the peel is neutralised or finished. A soothing balm and SPF go on at the end. The appointment takes about 30 minutes.
After treatment
Skin may look pink and feel tight or warm for a few hours. You'll leave with aftercare advice, and Cinzia will suggest whether a course would help.
Results & longevity
Skin usually looks brighter and feels smoother within a few days, once any flaking has settled. Tone and texture keep improving over a course, and AlumierMD suggests reviewing results at around 90 days. Results last longest with daily SPF and the right homecare, and occasional maintenance peels keep the glow going.
Recovery, side effects & aftercare
Mild redness, tightness or sensitivity for a few hours to a day is normal; stronger peels can bring light flaking for three to five days.
Side effects
Warmth, tightness, redness and light flaking are expected. Less commonly, sensitivity, a flare of a cold sore in people prone to them, or temporary darker or lighter patches can occur — more likely with sun exposure or picking.
Aftercare
Wait until the next day before washing your face or wearing make-up. Don't pick or peel any flaking skin. For 14 days avoid scrubs, retinoids, other peels, laser, waxing and sunbeds on the area, and use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day.
Please contact the clinic if the skin blisters, crusts, becomes increasingly sore or swollen, or shows any sign of infection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it hurt?
Most people feel warmth, tingling or a light itch for a few minutes while the peel is on. It eases as soon as the peel is finished.
Will my skin peel?
Often not visibly. Stronger peels can bring light flaking for three to five days — let it come away on its own rather than picking.
How many peels will I need?
One peel gives a fresh, brighter look. For lasting change in tone or texture AlumierMD recommends a course, often six peels about two weeks apart, or monthly for sensitive skin.
Can I wear make-up afterwards?
Please wait until the next day, so the skin has time to settle.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Often, yes — the peel and strength are chosen for your skin, and a gentler peel or a longer gap between peels can be used. Cinzia will advise at consultation.
Can I have a peel if I'm pregnant?
No — peels aren't carried out during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
What should I use at home?
A gentle cleanser, a soothing moisturiser and daily SPF. Cinzia will suggest anything else that suits your skin.
