Lip Filler
At Trusted Touch Aesthetics in Fulham, we think of giving lip filler as an art, whether it’s to make the cupid’s bow look better or to soften the smoker’s lines (without causing a trout pout).
We are sure that our lip fillers are the best in Fulham.
You can be sure that you’ll get the best care, treatment, and result in terms of how you look. The filler for the lips is a quick procedure that only takes a few minutes.
Before the gel is injected, an anaesthetic is put on the area. For people who have never had this done before, the process is uncomfortable but not painful.
You will meet with someone face to face.
This is where we'd talk about your worries and what you want to happen. Once we have agreed on the ideal type of lip for you.
We can opt to inject a small amount of anaesthetic into your lips before hand and to help with the pain.
Alternatively we can use a topical lidocaine cream to none of the area.
You might feel a slight prick when the needle touches your mouth. When your lips are numb enough, the filler will then be injected directly into your lips.
Dermal fillers work quickly, so you won't have to wait a year before you can see the full effects of your injections.
Still, these injectable treatments take some time to settle into your tissues, and it's normal for your dermal filler to take up to two weeks to fully settle into your face.
Lip fillers are not permanent.
How long they last depends on things like the type of filler and where it is injected.
Most of the time, they last from 6 to 18 months.
You will discuss the associated risks and side effects during your consultation. Generally, there is no down time and you will be able to carry on with you day.
However, swelling and bruising is very normal as soon as the dermal filler is injected into the lips. The swelling go down after 48 hours.
There is also a chance of bruising. Bruising will go away naturally within seven days and can be helped along with arnica cream or gel.
Lip fillers are commonly used to:
- Restore lost volume
- Definition of the Vermillion border
